U.S. path#

Consult the official small-claims website for your state or local court: limits, fees, service rules and whether a business seller can be sued there vary. A buyer and seller in different states may create jurisdiction or forum-selection issues. Do not copy Ontario’s CAD $50,000 limit or a Korean payment-order procedure into a U.S. claim.

Prepare a short demand and exhibit list#

On [date], I purchased [course] from [legal seller] for [amount]. The offer promised [quote], but [specific service] was not provided. I requested a refund on [date], and you replied [quote]. I seek [amount] and a written response by [date].

Exhibits: offer; checkout terms; receipt; service-access log; support correspondence; refund request. Check local rules for any demand-letter requirement before filing.

No automatic repayment. Continue seller, payment-provider and court remedies separately.

▪Can I sue the influencer instead of the company?

Name the proper contracting or allegedly responsible party under local law; the influencer and merchant may differ.

Cross-border jurisdiction, service and collection become more complex. Seek local legal advice before paying court fees.
